Middle Village - Metropolitan Avenue is the southern terminal station of the BMT Myrtle Avenue Line of the New York City Subway. Located at the intersection of Metropolitan Avenue and 67th Street in the Middle Village neighborhood of central Queens, it is served by the M train at all times. The station has two tracks and an island platform. The tracks end at bumper blocks at the north end of the platform. The original wooden island platform existed until 1980 when it was destroyed by fire. A new, cement structure was completed in the fall of 1980 and has been used ever since.
