Overview

A dedicated teacher, Don Waldman uses over ninety thought-provoking examples-such as the market for human organs, drug testing in professional baseball, and collusion in the Ivy League-to demonstrate the power of microeconomics as a tool for thinking about complex issues.
The Second Edition of Microeconomics is delivered in dotlearn, making the learning experience more robust for a fraction of the cost of a traditional textbook. Waldman's online text integrates animated figures, hands-on explorations, and dynamic example problems into the core text. dotlearn offers complete course management and assessment options, as well as a fully interactive study guide. With dotlearn, readers are doing economics-not just reading it.

Reviews

Students and instructors see the difference with dotlearn.
After taking this course last semester, I have certainly discovered that this text was far better than the one used on campus. The text provided helpful examples as well as excellent supplementary materials. I would highly recommend this textbook.
This was the first experience I had with an online textbook. I was quite impressed with the system. The textbook seemed catered to only what we needed. The study guide and self tests were quite helpful in preparing for exams. It was easy to get access to the text and print copies as needed. I had no trouble with the text, and I would enjoy using a similar system in the future.
-Student, Lehigh University
I like your text for several reasons, including its price point and interactive features, which I think work unusually well-it is helpful to have the animation curves move while the text is read over the speaker, because otherwise with a book, the reader must painstakingly shift his or her eyes from graph to text and back. It was also suitable for our need to provide a text to students from all over the world.
-Parke Wilde, Professor, Tufts University
