Overview

We have created this as a helping tool for future and current cosmetic technicians to aid them and broaden their knowledge. After reading this book does not mean that you have the qualifications to start working immediately. Unless you are extraordinary gifted, you still need a few hundred hours of supervised practice, and to take tests to have the necessary registration and insurance. However I hope that this will give you an idea of what you need to do to have a safe and successful career. Maria: I am an experienced A&E nurse, who has performed many stitches, gluing and other procedures to recover patients' faces after various kinds of trauma, so I thought that holding the micro blade can not be very different from holding a scalpel over somebody's face, but that was very wrong. In case of an emergency, you do your best to save as much as possible of the normal human appearance, whereas microblading is much more demanding - you have to meet your client's expectation, leaving him/her happy and, at the same time, produce work that is socially acceptable, so your reputation will not suffer. After reading this book you should know: What is Microblading; Structure and how skin and hair work; How to assess types of skin; How to choose pigment; How to assess your client and consult them prior to procedure; Be able to prepare, clean and numb the area; Perform the procedure; Give instructions for aftercare; Manage complications; Choose the right tools and equipment; Find the appropriate training, set a business and market it. This writing is by no means comprehensive - there is a lot more information out there. it is correct at present, but there is no guarantee that this is not going to change in the future.
