Michael was born looking very normal until the disease started to cause some physical weakness that included falling down, getting up, waddle-walk, and balancing. These issues would get worse over time and would cause the need for a wheelchair. He was a big brother and was surrounded by his loving sisters. Their energy kept him going and at times forgetting he even had Muscular Dystrophy. Through his struggles and frustrations, he always smiled. He used positive energy to get through. He had the greatest quality of life filled with positivity to keep moving forward. Trea Jackson has been writing since the age of 7 when she discovered her passion while being in foster care and this became her way of coping on her journey. She graduated from Roosevelt University with a BA/MA in Psychology. Trea published her first book, In the Innocent Eyes of a Child in 2004. The first book of the book series, The Innocent Eyes of a Child in 2021. Has been a Social Worker for the Illinois Department of Human Services for 10 years.
