Overview

In a community dominated by superstitions, every illness is seen as a divine punishment, and death is regarded as the ultimate retribution from the gods... Men Don't Cry, Boys Do follows the lives of Kwansema and her brother Kobina as they face numerous challenges including, sickness, loss and tragedy. Kwansema discovers her passion for sports and experiences her first love with a supreme being she does not see or fully comprehend. Meanwhile, Kobina finds his true love in someone he can barely communicate with whilst being accidentally separated from his family. The family's heartache seems to find resolution when Kobina reunites with them after being missing for a few years. Kwansema endeavors to share her newfound joy and light with her brother, but could there be more lurking in the shadows for this family that has already suffered enough?

Dr. June was born in Ghana and spent her formative years between Ghana and Cameroon where she acquired her love for French. She is a proud APPSAN and holds a PharmD from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore School of Pharmacy, Maryland.
