Men and Divorce is a Practical Guide for the more than one million men annually who face the prospect of a divorce, who may be contemplating the need for a divorce, or who have been served papers for one. Women file 66% of the time and men must be prepared to find the right attorney, make the correct decisions, and fight for what is theirs by right. Presumptions of the state laws and courts favor women. This book seeks to rectify that with advice from my experience and those of other men who have suffered from the inequities and vagaries of state laws, presumptions, and uninformed advisors. Men have rights too and state laws along with the federal law promulgated by Congress in 1982 of allowing states to treat military pensions as property and assign them for life must be changed. I will advise on how to identify clues a divorce may be imminent and how to avoid the more than 20 mistakes men commonly make. The book is not anti-women, but pro-men. The author takes the reader through understanding the landscape facing them, what women consider, clues for men they may be headed for divorce, the mistakes men make, deciding whether divorce is the best solution, how to negotiate for the best outcome, what quality of life may be considered after divorce, and presents his own divorces as case studies. Definitions used in divorce documents, laws and recommended changes to be made to them, and military men in divorces including an application of the Principles of War make Men and Divorce the most complete and comprehensive book on the subject. Humor used throughout the book also make it one of the most readable and literate books on the market.

LTC Roy E. Peterson has published eleven books prior to Men and Divorce including one on Magnetism to Marriage. As a church officer and military officer, he counseled men who found themselves in a divorce and needed advice and guidance on what to do and how to do it.
