OverviewThis book is more than just an autobiography. Forrest Brockman takes us on a journey through words and many pictures from his early youth, including school pictures from his eight years of attending a small one-room schoolhouse at Balke Prairie, near Cole Camp, Missouri. Still, he takes us on a journey that reaches far beyond those years when he tells us in detail how Cole Camp Fair floats are made, including many pictures of the various stages of work. He takes us through the steps his son, Dennis took while creating the iconic image in tribute to longtime local legendary coach, Mr. Robert Farrington on the basketball floor of the local high school gym. He charts the Cole Camp weather, including daily rain amounts over a three-year period of the 2010 decade. He also reminds us of the 2017 total solar eclipse in pictures. This is a marvelous book that anyone ever associated with Cole Camp, Missouri should own.
