OverviewOnly Mao and Stalin killed more civilians than Hitler among them 6 million Jews in gas chambers. Mein Kampf, in English: My Struggle/Fight, is a book by Adolf Hitler, who later became the bloody dictator of Nazi Germany. It combines elements of autobiography with an exposition of Hitler's revolutionary political ideology aftermath the First World War where Germany was defeated and humiliated. Volume 1 of Mein Kampf was published in 1925 and Volume 2 in 1926. Hitler began the dictation of the book while imprisoned for what he considered to be political activism after his failed revolution in Munich in November 1923. Though Hitler received many visitors earlier on in the jail, he soon devoted himself entirely to the book.
