Robin Netherton is a costume historian specializing in Western European clothing of the Middle Ages and its interpretation by artists and historians. Gale R. Owen-Crocker is Professor Emerita of The University of Manchester, UK. She has published extensively on early medieval culture, especially dress and textiles.
