OverviewDrawing on over twenty years of experience at the Department of Family Medicine at AUBMC, this book presents a unique, globally informed approach to teaching ethics and professionalism through film. Addressing key competencies outlined by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education and the European Board of Education, the book delves into a wide range of ethical and systemic issues, including discrimination, autonomy, euthanasia, justice, the role of physicians in conflict zones, and the influence of the pharmaceutical industry. Contributors from across the globe offer culturally distinct perspectives that deepen the conversation around each topic. By incorporating the voices of postgraduate doctors and grounding its insights in real-world educational practice, this book stands as a vital resource for educators, trainees, and healthcare professionals seeking to engage with the human dimensions of medicine through the lens of storytelling.
