The Main-Weser Railway is the railway line in central Germany that runs from Frankfurt am Main via Gie en to Kassel and named after the railway company that built the line and also operated it until 1880. It is double-tracked and electrified. Its maximum speed limit is 160 km/h (99.4 mph), but this is only achievable in places on the southern part of the line.
