Reviews

Dena Carter has woven the creative process of loving and nurturing oneself into a practical guide full of personal warmth and insight. Combining personal awareness with delightful ideas of being your own best friend. Dena's approach is a fresh alternative that embraces wholistic self care in an age of consumerism. The reader is given a thoughtful, practical guide in the creative art of how to truly love oneself. Thank you! Anon; Dena I read your book, Loving Who You Are and loved it. I loved how you have explained what self-love is, using simple words and making the concept look uncomplicated. There is a graceful flow throughout the pages... I got another one to gift it to my friend! Ema; In a world where everything is more important than you. This short book is about learning to care about and love yourself. Easy step by step guide to a loving you. No one can really love you till you love yourself. Sal Cresci; I enjoyed reading your book and I'm going to start my self care right away by saying no to invites. You are very talented and your book was an enjoyable quick read. Although, I'll read it again and again. Sharon Perrin; This book has amazing advice for all the other nurses and healing professionals out there. This book will teach you how to care for yourself, which is the foundation of caring for others, which so many of us enjoy doing! Alexandra Mika, RN; A beautiful invitation to step into nurturing the extraordinary creation that is YOU! I love that this book isn't 396 pages long, making self-care seem overwhelmingly involved and impossible. Self-care shouldn't be difficult or time consuming. The beauty of this little book is in it's simplicity, and in the heart of the author, which shines through on every page. Salina Christaria; Bottom line: if you read this book and follow its principles, you'll live a longer, healthier and happier life. This clearly written and consie book provides tips for mental and physical health in an enjoyable format. Readers, such as myself, who have a short attention span, will appreciate its brevity. Strongly recommended! Edward Miller; Loving Who You Are is a breath of fresh air, a gentle reminder of simple, effective tools to take care of your precious mind, body and spirit on a regular basis. This book came to me at a time when I was burned out from full time caregiving for a family member who was dealing with a terminal illness. I was so grateful to be able to open it at random and find short, easy-to-read-and-do self care tools and messages that I could put into practice in a few minutes. These tools helped me uncover the energy and attitude shifts that I needed in the moment. The most important shift was to serve as a reminder of the importance of self care as a daily, ongoing practice. Alissa Lukara;
