Author Information

Janele Hoerner lives with her husband and their five children in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. She loves every moment she has as a stay at home mom where she has found her greatest fulfillment. Janele awakens each and every day as she works to guide all of her children to learn and grow in love for another while they discover the world around them. She especially attempts to guide her first born son on his journey of living day in and day out with the multiple diagnosis' of High Functioning Autism, ADHD, and Intermittent Explosive Disorder. She teaches him daily with her words, guidance, and love that his diagnosis are important for others to understand why he is different, but his soul in which she believes is buried beneath the diagnosis itself will only define him. Three years ago, while sitting in church, she received an inkling that she was additionally being called to help other families navi-gate through the waves of discovering their own child's special needs diagnosis. In being a very private person herself, she at first felt that she was not up to the challenge. Now that book has come to fruition in the form of Loving the Soul Beneath the Autism. Her only hope is that she can help just one family who is struggling in the same battle that she and her husband did with their first-born son. Her wish is that the soul of each and every human person, created equally by God, may be loved and rightfully respected for his or her own unique impact on this earth.
