Bel Olid (Mataró, 1977) es escritora, traductora y profesora de literatura y escritura. Mantiene una intensa actividad como traductora al catalán y, en menor medida, también en castellano, principalmente de obras de literatura infantil. Ha traducido del alemán, el inglés, el francés, el italiano y el castellano. Como autora se da a conocer en 2010 gracias al Premio Documenta por la novela Una tierra solitaria, y al Premio Rovelló de ensayo por el trabajo Las heroínas contraatacan.
