London Buses route 66 is a Transport for London contracted bus route in London, England, United Kingdom. As of 2010, the service is contracted to Arriva Southern Counties. Route 66 commenced operation on 14 October 1925 between Leytonstone (Green Man) and Romford Station. Leytonstone has always remained the western terminus of the route, although the eastern terminus has varied over the years. Route 66 began operation as a double deck route from Romford (later Hornchurch) garage, although between 1972 and 1976 the route was operated by single deck vehicles.
