OverviewAll over the United States, English is teaching in churches, public schools and libraries to help those who have immigrated the ability to communicate and use it around the country. Still, many Spanish-speaking immigrants don't know that English is offered in those locations. In this PhD dissertation research, the writer examined over 13 participants via the general qualitative study to aid respond to their though regarding the programs put in place by the government of Montgomery County in the state of Maryland to encourage the learning of English among Spanish-speaking immigrants. The objective of this PhD research study was to find how the subjects viewed or understood those programs set to help them acquire English. Only legal Spanish-speaking immigrants could participate to the research study. Also, the subjects have to reside in Montgomery County, MD to be included in the research.
