He is a co-editor of several books including Lived Experiences of Borderland Communities in Zimbabwe (Springer 2023) and Livelihoods of Ethnic Minorities in Rural Zimbabwe (Springer 2023). Beaven Utete is a professor and academic with interests in the conservation of freshwater resources. Currently, he is an associate professor at the Chinhoyi University of Technology. He is a visiting scholar for several universities in Africa with cross-cutting interests in human‑wildlife conflicts in water systems in Africa.
