R. W. Blackmore from a Russian translation made by Dolgoroucki Prince Joseph Arghouthiants, Armenian Archbishop in Russia; and secondly by the Rev. S. C. Malan, D.D., formerly Vicar of Broadwindsor, from the Armenian original printed at Constantinople by command of the Patriarch Paul of Adrianople; and each of these versions has passed through two editions. Owing, however, to many circumstances, I have been urged to prepare a Manual which should contain the Armenian original together with an English trans lation.
