Lawrence S. Harte is a Brooklyn-bred orthodontist who has served in public health and leadership positions in Wash-ington, D.C. and elsewhere. He has published in The New York Times and has lectured nationally and internationally. Dr. Harte's hobbies include world traveling, sailing, magic, sculpture, playing bridge, painting, and writing poetry. In his new book, ""Listen Up! Musings & Cartoons,"" Dr. Harte presents vignettes, art, and musings about life that nudge readers of all ages toward ethical and joyful behavior. He provides essential recipes for the basic principles of leadership, success, enjoyment, pursuit of excellence, and self-discipline.
