Overview

One of Us Is Lying meets A Good Girl's Guide to Murder in this don't-dare-to-look-away dark academia thriller that explores how secrets can rot an institution--and the people who uphold it--from the inside out. Everyone wants to be a Lily. At Archwell Academy, it's the ticket to a successful future. But like every secret society, there is something much darker beneath the surface ... sometimes girls disappear. When four Archwell students find themselves trapped in a time loop, they must relive their worst memories, untangling the Lilies' moldering roots and unraveling the secrets at the core of their school ... before they destroy their futures forever.

Author Information

Quinn Diacon-Furtado is best known for their portrayal of Danny Zuko in a 1998 summer camp musical review of Grease. They write across multiple genres including speculative, flash fiction, and contemporary fantasy. Quinn's work is truly intended for all audiences but they particularly love writing for young readers after years of teaching middle school and high school. They have an MFA in children's literature from Hollins University and have just been accepted into the Lambda Emerging Writers Fellowship. The Lilies is their debut novel, and you can find them at thisisquinnswebsite.com. Karla Serrato is a Chicago-based bilingual audiobook narrator. She received her BA in theatre from Loyola University Chicago, along with a BA in psychology and a minor in dance, and her MS in arts administration from Drexel University. In addition to her work with audiobooks, she has appeared on and off screen in numerous plays, musicals, commercials, indie films, and industrials. She also produces and hosts The Potty Mouth Poopcast. Angel Pean is an actor and narrator who thrives on the power of storytelling and being a part of impactful projects that leave their mark. She made her way from Houston, Texas, to NYC to attend the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts. There, she obtained a degree in film and television performance. Angel has had the pleasure of training with several coaches and actors, including Jay R. Goldenberg, Maury Ginsberg, and Ruth Nerken. Her love for storytelling, as well as reading, eventually led her to explore the beautiful world of audiobooks! She began studying with narrator and coach, Elise Arsenault, has since built a home studio, and recently finished narrating her very first book: The Vampire's Assistant by Eva Alton, a romantic fantasy now available on Audible. In her free time, you'll certainly find her lounging around with her cat, or dancing. Angel currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia, where she is continuing to audition, work, and hone her craft. Vico Ortiz (they/him/she) is a non-binary, bilingual, Puerto Rican actor and drag king with a background in fencing. They have recently had roles in Vida, America Horror Story: 1984, and Lucifer. On stage, they were nominated by the LA Drama Critics Awards for Best Supporting Actor for their performance of Chrz in Rogue Machine's Super Variety Match Bonus Round. Gail Shalan is a storyteller based in New York City. She has narrated books for Tantor, HighBridge, Blackstone, Chatterbox Audio with Audible UK, Spoken Realms, and more. She is also a narrator and producer on The StoryLight Podcast (available wherever you listen to podcasts). She holds an MFA in acting from the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School and has worked in both the US and UK in theater, film, and voice-over. Gail is also a puppeteer and one half of the International folk duo The Strange Bedfellows.
