Life Rolls On is a non-fiction work about the life of Richard P Mason, post swimming pool injury that left him paralyzed from the neck down. He takes readers through different aspects of his life; the recovery process for him immediately following his accident, travels all across the globe, sports participation, college and some of his bigger life decisions. Rick went on to be a Paralympic swimmer even after he almost drowned. He touches on his relationship with his parents, mostly his dad. Although many expect people in wheelchairs to have limitations, he pushed those limits and details some of his more thrilling adventures - flying an airplane and skydiving, among other things. Life Rolls On showcases Rick's resilience and zest for life. Richard Mason grew up in PA, with his older brother and sister, playing baseball and other sports. When he was 18 years old, he suffered an accident causing a spinal cord injury, and leaving him quadriplegic. He wrote Life Rolls On based on his life experiences, and adventures to help inform and inspire those who find themselves in a similar situation or who have someone in their life that are similarly afflicted. Rick has one grown daughter. He continued coaching and playing sports, alongside several careers and business ventures. His life was full of adventure, and his wish was to continue serving his community and loved ones, even in death. Life Rolls On is being published on his behalf, posthumously. Briana Mason is the daughter of Richard, the author of Life Rolls On. He approached her to help edit and brainstorm how to put his life experiences into words that would help inform others. Briana is a literature fanatic and avid reader of both fiction and non-fiction titles. By trade, Briana is an early childhood educator, tutor, sports coach, entrepreneur and aspiring author herself. Outside of work ventures, she is an avid runner and training to run her first official half marathon. Rina Bacigalupi is a friend of the Mason family, and was asked to bring the cover art vision to life. She is an ABA therapist and entrepreneur. Rina is also mom to a young daughter, Ellia.
