Overview

Let's Count Butterflies was written with both the child and adult reader in mind. Not only is there a numeric sequence paired with the actual word in the same color for word/numeric association, these are actual butterflies and the name if each is included as it appears on the page. Reading to children enhances their information about the world. Babies and toddlers that are read to consistently take it all in, vocabulary and language structure, numbers and math concepts, colors, animals, shapes, manners and more. Learning to count is considered a very important educational and developmental milestone in most cultures of the world. Learning to count is a child's first step into mathematics and constitutes the most fundamental idea of mathematics. Teaching tools such as having the numeric and the word in the same color help toddlers associate them as synonymous. These colorful butterfly illustrations not only assist in learning to count, the names of the butterflies appear with each keeping the reader engaged as well. This is a great baby shower gift, Easter gift, and birthday gift for new mom's and babies alike.
