Author Information

Lynn Johnston was born in Collingwood, Ontario, and grew up in British Columbia. Today, she lives in Corbeil, Ontario. Johnston is the first woman to receive a Reuben Award for Outstanding Cartoonist of the Year from the National Cartoonists Society in 1986. She has also received the Order of Canada and claims a star on Canada's Walk of Fame. Andie (Adrienne) Parton was born in Northern Quebec, Canada. She has lived in many cities across North America and knows plenty about leaving home. She was a life skills coach for many foster teenagers, and has well prepared them and her own three children for life on their own. Andie works as a lab technologist at McMaster Medical Center in Hamilton, Ontario, and lives with her partner, Steve, in Dundas, Ontario, Canada.
