OverviewThe difference between leaders who thrive and those who burn out isn't talent or training-it's rhythm. Too many Christian leaders are sacrificing family, health, and calling on the altar of relentless doing. Retired Navy Chaplain Greg Woodard reveals four essential rhythms-relational, spiritual, emotional, and physical-that turn soul care into the foundation of lasting influence. Leadership from Within invites you to lead from overflow-anchored in wholeness, not exhaustion. Table of ContentsReviews""A thoughtful and refreshing take on leadership, built on four essential life patterns. This book is a wake-up call for anyone tempted to lead others before first leading themselves. Practiced consistently, these patterns can safeguard against moral and ethical failure while nurturing both personal and professional well-being."" -Rear Admiral Brent W. Scott, CHC, USN (Ret.), Chief of Navy Chaplains 2019-2022 ""Leadership from Within is the kind of book every leader needs-yet many don't slow down enough to read this message. Greg Woodard reminds us that true success doesn't come from hustling harder but from leading with healthy rhythms. As a coach and speaker helping men win at home and work, I see many leaders running on empty. Greg's four rhythms-relational, spiritual, emotional, and physical-offer a practical roadmap to refuel from the inside out. This book isn't theory. It's wisdom from years in the trenches of leadership and ministry and seeing what works. I encourage you to read this book if you want sustainable leadership at home and work."" -Cory Carlson, Executive Coach, Author of Win at Home First and Rise and Go. ""In my research of 'finishing well' for Christian leaders since the late 1980s, I have never found a more thorough approach than Dr. Woodard's engaging read on leadership. His authentic stories of developing the right rhythms in our unique circumstances is compelling and relevant to both existing and emerging leaders today. I would require this in every leadership curriculum that wants to build leaders that last."" -Joseph Umidi, DMin, EVP, Regent University ""Greg draws from his Navy chaplaincy experiences to arm Christian leaders against burnout and moral collapse, using four vital rhythms that fuel ministry from spiritual overflow rather than exhaustion. He offers practical actions to navigate soul care into our chaotic lives. A must for those who want to practice authentic, powerful, Christ-centered ministry."" -Carleton Birch, Converge Director of Chaplaincy, Chaplain (Colonel, USA, Ret.) ""This book is a leadership masterpiece! Greg offers an in-depth and very readable guide to leaders who are seeking to lead well and be well. Through his compelling personal stories and substantial material, Greg brings his own heart and soul into this project. He clearly cares about the well-being of the reader, wanting them to leave impacted and equipped. ""Chapters reflect his holistic framework, offering thoughtful reflection questions and spiritual practices, as well as helping readers increase their self-knowledge through personality tests, leadership frameworks, and attachment theory. It is not a book to pick up once, but a tool to keep close for all Christian leaders."" -Bethany Dearborn Hiser, Director of Soul Care, Northwest Family Life, Author of From Burned Out to Beloved: Soul Care for Wounded Healers ""I am delighted to recommend this book written by a seasoned scholar‐practitioner.
