One great object of this Society will be, to oh tain and publifh an account of the improvements of oth er countries, and to procure models of machines in. Which they excel. It will attend to whatever relates to: rural affairs, and 'efpecially to promote an increafe of the products of ourlands, fuch as the improvements of foil by tillage, manures, clearing, and draining, the culti vation of fuch graffes, and other articles, as may be molt advantageous to the farmer, and of courfe to all clalfes of people, and fuch as are belt adapted to our foil and climate the molt piofitable kinds of feed, with the time and manner of (owing and cultivating them; the bell method of propagating and preferving fruit trees from infects, particularly from the canker worm alfo, the bell method of increafing forefl: trees.
