Author Information

"My love of the landscape began about six years ago when I said ""yes!"" to an invitation from the Wekiva Paint Out to join 30 other landscape painters for a week-long event at the Wekiva River. Prior to this Plein Air event, landscape really hadn't been my subject matter. I was busy painting animals, birds, and florals. Stepping outside of my box (and outside my studio) opened my eyes to the beauty of the natural world around me and the process of drawing and painting from life, in the field. Since then I have participated in a number of other Plein Air painting festivals and events, including the Sedona Plein Air Festival in Arizona. I have learned to embrace landscape as a subject, both en Plein Air and the studio."
