Author Information

Annette Aurelie Desmarais is Canada Research Chair in Human Rights, Social Justice and Food Sovereignty at the University of Manitoba. She was a grain farmer for 13 years, during which time she was an active member of La Via Campesina, and is the author of La Via Campesina (Pluto, 2007).
