Author Information

"The author is a seasoned banker with over 20 years of banking experience. Having seen the challenges faced by young learners in learning Kiswahili for academic purposes and also as a language, she saw the need to assist other learners, especially in terms of sounds and memorising words. She has therefore started a series of books beginning with the Kiswahili alphabet in a well-illustrated book containing colourful and relatable pictures. The words used are also carefully picked from day-to-day items/affairs which the young learners can relate to. The author has made sure that the words and photos can be recognised by kids all over the world to make learning fun and easier. The title of the book translated to English means ""Kiswahili, Reading is Fun"". The book is pictorial to aid the learner to connect the sounds to the visual aspect of the items seen in our day-to-day lives, thereby making it easier to remember the words. This book is the first of many to come."
