Deena Abougoush and Lila Abougouche are certified teachers and have been educating alongside each other for almost a decade. Through their years of teaching literacy, they know that children learn best through engagement and relatable storytelling. Deena and Lila grew up in the small town of Lac La Biche, Alberta, and believe in diversity and the importance of children seeing themselves in the stories they read.
