Overview

This book is a compilation of 27 independent Modern Short Tales in which androids, cognitive robots born out of the writer mind are given human attributes, like independent thought and voice. As I came out of this compelling experience in ´Keeping Up With The Androids´ I have realized that my personal fictional stories are superior to fictional stories created by others like novels, poems, motion pictures, documentaries, commercials. Fictions created by others are entertainment, distraction or somehow educational experiences. My personal fictional stories are essentially an open door to an array of endless opportunities for my personal growth, a heavy therapy, an empowerment booster, a pathway to audacity, bravery, tolerance and wisdom, in addition to contributing to my education, entertainment and distraction like ´fictions by others´ do. Then comes the question: How can somebody produce fictional stories if he is not writer or endowed with some artistic talents? If normal people day by day life is made of banal undertakings, what a stretch to transform that into fictional and epic stories? Then the question becomes: how do you transform banal old stories into exhilarating fictions by normal people? Imagine that there is a place where you can go and find all that you know like, your personal objects, people, nature, animals, emotions, thoughts, concepts, words, acronyms, numbers, formulas, icons & images, quotes, affirmations, questions, dreams, codes, characters, whatever. Imagine you can interact with them as if they were humans. Imagine that they can have their independent thoughts and can speak their voice. You are in androids´ Kingdom. Androids in this quest are cognitive bodies with human attributes. That place exists and has a name: a *flash page*. I have been there and I am here to share with you the experiences I have been through by presenting the 27 independent Modern Short Tales I created out of my personal banal day by day living. The 27 Modern Short Tales are independent but bear a common ground named *flash page*. The *flash page* is binding them all together. A *flash page* may look like a comic strips page. But comics are closed spaces controlled by the their authors. You reader is not allowed to step in and make changes. Whereas a *flash page* is rather a warm open space welcoming you to bring in the old versions of your personal stories, invite gangs of androids to join you and make up new stories. The formula is simple for the reader from now on. Skip the nightmare or the anxiety of having to start writing a story from a blank page, get a *flash page* and invite on stage a bunch of androids that you discretionally get out of your catalogue and let them interfere with your banal story. The result is a new version of your story. If you bring another gang of androids on stage, you get another version. This process is endless. You realize then how prolific you can be in producing fictions. By doing so, your journaling and storytelling get to the next level. The magic is there for you to become your personal writer. You start producing fictions for yourself. You realize how powerful you are in doing so. You start curing your wounds. Your level of confidence will skyrocket. You become braver, audacious, tolerant. You are on your path towards wisdom! This is a quest for imagining alternative stories, writing new version of old stories thanks to androids as they come on stage in *Flash pages* and, by means of interaction with them, conditions are created for them to take over the stories and talk their words and truth concerning the issues at hand. A new paradigm for telling stories is handed over to the reader. What a gift! *MC*
