Overview

When Jack's P.E. coach pairs him up with Jay Perkins for the cross-country team, neither of them is happy about it. Gary D. Schmidt is the bestselling author of many books for young readers, including the Newbery Honor and Printz Honor book Lizzie Bright and the Buckminster Boy and the Newbery Honor book The Wednesday Wars. He is a professor of English at Calvin University in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Christopher Gebauer is a multifaceted actor who excels in both leading and character roles. He is a graduate of the Stella Adler Studio of Acting through the New York University Tisch School of the Arts.
