Jungle of the Soul was written so wonderfully. It felt transparent and open, honest and raw, and it took me on a journey that will stick with me for a long time to come. Inspiring, moving, motivating. (Marni MacRae International award winning author) Jungle of the Soul is not the easiest book to read and process. It provides a shockingly authentic account of someone else's life, someone who's gone through more pain and suffering than most of us will ever experience. Many of the events recounted are jarring, but they are told from the perspective of someone who has made peace with the past and who has come to accept and understand that our experiences make us who we are, regardless of their nature. Reading this book is somehow as if you're getting to know Roxana and little by little she becomes a precious friend who you want to support and protect. This sentiment only makes it harder to go through some episodes presented in this memoir, but it also serves the point of teaching a good lesson and helping you grow alongside Roxana, in her journey toward finding herself and understanding the true meaning of happiness. I don't want to spoil the story for you, but know that it has a little bit of everything: hope, pain, love, effort, determination, disappointment, happiness, relentlessness, joy, friendship, kindness, and much more.
