Overview

In an effort to provide the first coherent theory of sexual orientation in the tradition of analytical psychology, Robert Hopcke examines the way in which Jung and Jungians have regarded homosexuality both clinically and theoretically, demonstrating that within a great diversity of opinion there exist many ways to deepen an understanding of the lives and loves of gay men and lesbians. Author Information

Robert H. Hopcke is a Jungian-oriented psychotherapist in private practice in Berkeley, California, and cofounder of the Center for Symbolic Studies there. He serves as Coordinator of the AIDS Prevention Program for Operation Concern, a gay and lesbian counseling agency in San Francisco. He is also the author of A Guided Tour of the Collected Works of C.G. Jung and Men's Dreams, Men's Healing.
