Author Information

Leela Hutchison is a Graduate Gemologist, from G.I.A., (Gemological Institute of America) explorer, teacher and published author on crystals, gems and minerals. She specializes in educating listeners on the remarkable qualities of Selenite, considered by many to be one of the major power generating crystal energies of the emerging new global consciousness. Leela first began showing rare images of her personal adventure as one of the earliest explorers of the giant Selenite crystals discovered in Naica, Mexico (April, 2000). Her shows were presented as early as February 2001 to audiences in Sedona, Arizona and then onto the island of Kauai of the Hawaiian Islands. From the overwhelming interest shown, invitations were extended to share and teach about these crystals around the U.S. and parts of the world. Born in El Paso, Texas, of the deserts in the American southwest, Leela had a near obsession for hiking, rock hounding and crystal and mineral collecting. This began a passion to travel and experience first hand to see what nature is telling us in the ley lines and energy grids that are in and around our planet. In 2001, Leela became the first American woman to enter the astonishing giant Selenite crystal caves. These giant crystals are located 1,000 feet down inside a working silver mine, near the village of Naica, Chihuahua in the Sierra Madre Mountains of Mexico. See http: //www.thecrystalgiants.com. These caves contain what are now known as the largest crystals on Earth ranging in size to approx. 40 feet, and weighing as much as 60 tons and estimated to be 1,000,000 (one million) years old. Discovery and collection of bacteria as far south as South Africa has been found inside the thermal waters that created these colossal crystals. The condition of the caves (or bubbles in bedrock) inside this mine is considered to be the most hostile environment on Planet Earth with extreme temperatures of 128 degrees in 2001 and 100% humidity. It is nearly impossible to survive for more than 30 minutes without protective gear and clothing.
