The Snow Yorker- One of the 10 coldest books of the year! A genuine Tour d' Frost! The North Pole Review of Books- An extraordinary look behind the scenes of just maybe the most benevolent operation on the whole planet. This book salutes the man and the crew who have brought us more joy than anyone else. In this time of pandemic and wannabee fascists, Santa's story needed to be told and Frosty, Mrs. C and their frozen crews do it with splendid vigor. Polarishers' Weekly- A Snowman's view of an incredible character and his long-hidden art stash. Filled with behind the scenes accounts of Santa's life, art work, and creative adventures. The North Atlantic- Who knew Santa and Mrs. Claus had shared such an incredibly romantic millennium and a half? It sounds like the Jolly Old Elf is a regular spring chicken, at least deep between the goose down sheets. Snowprah, The Snowprah Magazine- Finally we learn not only about Santa but also about the importance of Mary Kringle to the inner workings of the North Pole. This modest little woman is far more than a cookie-baking homemaker. She is the reigning polar psychotherapist, and a[...] The Frostnancial Times- Amazing look at just what goes on in this extraordinarily successful little Polar operation. One thing not covered that we would have liked to have seen would have been how Santa's team of bookkeepers keeps the company afloat. As far as we can ascertain, Santa's team has stayed out of the red for over 1500 years! SnowNN- Finally someone has gone behind the scenes to spill the frozen beans on Santa's extraordinary life and creative ventures. And SnowNN's Noel Epiphany is a key part of the whole project. You go Santa! And Noel, don't forget to come back to work first thing on the morning after Boxing Day. North Pole Variety!- Xcellently Xstatic Xmas Xpose! Excerpt From: Doug Nunn. Jolly Old Elf. Apple Books.

Doug Nunn has worked as a school teacher, comic/improviser, cook, truck driver, construction worker, warehouseman, environmental activist, and podcaster. He has been doing improvisational theatre since 1980 and has coached improv since the late '80s, working with actors and drama students in the western US and Europe, most extensively in Germany and Britain. He has produced improv and comedy shows from Mendocino to L.A. to London, has coached the Improv Club at Mendocino High School in Northern California since 2000, and published Show Ab, Handbuch für Teen Theater with Impuls Verlag in Germany. He has been a member of Hit and Run Theater since 1979 and worked as one half of the comedy team, Burns (Tracy) and Nunn from 1985-94. Nunn has worked in cartoons as an animator on the Simpsons film (2007) and as a scriptwriter; his cartoon Copzilla was an award winner in the 1998 World Animation Festival. Along with Marshall Brown and Ken Krauss, he has produced the podcast SnapSessions! http: //www.thesnapsessions.com/ since 2018, featuring interviews with creative people, political commentary, and deep dives into media. He has done more than 50 presentations for Al Gore's Climate Reality Project since 2018. Doug lives with his lovely wife, Christine Samas on the Mendocino Coast. Jolly Old Elf--The Art of Santa H. Claus is his first fictional picture book. Daniel Stieglitz was born in 1980 in Bavaria, where he drew a lot in his childhood and later in the school magazine. In 2000 he started studying Animation, Film, Illustration and Directing/Screenwriting at the Art School Kassel and graduated in 2007 with a 45 min movie called Last Stop TOYLAND. Since that time he's been working as a freelance storyboard-artist, illustrator and director for Commercials and TV. Around 2012 Stieglitz started to do live Caricature gigs and has done thousands of caricatures over the last years - digitally and traditionally. One of his main interests within that job has always been storytelling. Drawing live without a pre-sketch and the discovery of Korean Master Kim Jung Gi led to his first larger group composition in 2018 at the Eurocature, for which he won the first price in traditional art. Later that year Daniel won the Golden Nosey Award at the ISCA convention in San Diego for another group composition. The combination of caricatures, group scenes, storytelling and the magic of drawing without pre-sketch is what he loves about this work and Daniel trusts there's plenty more to discover in the future...Daniel and Doug Nunn met at an Improv Workshop with Daniel's group ImproKS in Kassel about 2008 and have been friends ever since. Daniel Stieglitz lives with his wife, Inga and his 2 daughters, Lotta and Frida, in Kassel, Germany.
