Author Information

Jo Weston grew up in Corowa, New South Wales. After moving to Melbourne, she joined the Waverley Netball Club where she found her love for netball. She is now one of Australia's best defenders and is a senior member of both the Melbourne Vixens and Australian Diamonds. Jo has represented Australia for the past nine years and helped lead the Diamonds to gold at the 2022 Commonwealth Games and the 2023 World Cup. With the Melbourne Vixens Jo was instrumental in the team's Premiership win in 2020 and Minor Premiership of 2022. Away from the court, Jo holds a Bachelor in Commerce from Melbourne University and is undertaking her Masters at Deakin. Jo is also President of the Australia Netball Players' Association and sits on the Board of Melbourne University Sport. Jo is passionate about environmental causes, her beloved Essendon FC and her Australian Shepherd Billie.
