Trained at Hebrew Union College in Cincinnati, he studied with the great teachers and philosophers of the 20th century. Added to that, he is a serious composer of the Jewish liturgy, taking the best of new music and combining it with a deep understanding of Hebrew prayer and song. He is magical leading a congregation in prayer or training a choir to sing challenging music. Best of all, he has a great sense of humor and makes it all seem like fun.
