Overview

Sexy Comedy was a very popular genre of film in Italy in the 70's. All the saucy circumstances and situations depicted were deeply rooted in the typical Italian culture, where the awkward day-dreaming average man was overwhelmed by unlikely erotic adventures he would only be able to manage in comical and goofy ways. These flicks featured quaint, hormone driven characters, embodied by very singular actors (Lino Banfi, Alvaro Vitali, Renzo Montagnani). Needless to say, the main attractions were and still are the girls, played by some of Italy's sexiest actresses including Laura Antonelli, Gloria Guida, Edwige Fenech and Nadia Cassini. This sort of 'get it on' season has still many re-runs on Italian TV. The book contains over 300 pages of photographs of some of the most famously sexy women of the time as well as original movie posters and filmography. The accompanying CD soundtrack includes songs from the movies, performed by some of these well-known characters.
