The second Italian battleship named Andrea Doria was an Andrea Doria-class battleship of the Regia Marina (Italian Royal Navy). She served in both World War I and World War II before being decommissioned in 1958. The battleship was named after the 16th century Genoese Admiral Andrea Doria (1466-1560).In 1920 she was involved in the Italo-Yugoslav dispute over the city of Fiume.The ship was extensively rebuilt between 1937 and 1940, with Q turret removed and main guns re-bored.
