This catalogue presents information, trends, pictures and comment on contemporary creative video, illustrating Invideo 1998. No less than 80 videos and 5 installations from 13 countries, plus a retrospective on how much has been achieved so far (in Italy) in the - sadly neglected - field of experimental programming, with an overview of European video centres and festivals. Journeys to the outer limits of the media. Journeys to the outer limits of familiar visions. Journeys to discover the metamorphoses of forms and landscapes, or the reflections of a barely perceptible passing or presence. Painting in movement, luminous choreography, dance sculptures, unconventional portraits, a different kind of theatre.
