Author Information

David Ayers grew up in Washington D.C., Athens, Greece, and Frankfurt, Germany. He received his Ph.D. from New York University, his MA from American University, and his BA from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania. He is currently Professor of Sociology, Chairperson of the Department of Sociology, and Assistant Dean of the Calderwood School of Arts and Letters at Grove City College. Dr. Ayers' research experience includes serving as Special Research Affiliate at the Office of Policy Studies, Department of Housing and Urban Development, as well as medical cost containment studies and other corporate research and writing projects for numerous companies. The latter work included authoring a complete K-11 environmental educational curriculum for Anhauser-Busch/Seaworld with his wife Kathleen, entitled Kids Can Change the World. He is author of EXPERIENCING SOCIAL RESEARCH: AN INTRODUCTION USING MICROCASE, and also of the test bank and instructor's manual for Rodney Stark's SOCIOLOGY, 9th Edition.
