Look no further than this canning guide! As a beginner to canning, I knew there was so much I needed to understand to make it right. I've read way too many canning blogs that have said so many different things, all with the warning of how canning can go wrong. I felt so discouraged. Until this book! This book has step-by-step instructions, recipes, pictures, and explanations to get a beginner going. You will need to get some equipment, but that's to be expected. You can't go wrong with this book! - Kara Leigh Ann This book is a great introduction to canning. It's written in a very conversational style, and it provides history, techniques, recipes as well as other important info related to canning. I also enjoyed the author's sense of humor. If you're looking for a brief but thorough intro into canning, consider picking up a copy of this book. - Mitty Well-written, easy-to-read introduction to canning. The author certainly knows her subject and conveys the how-to of canning in a simple, straight-forward manner. - Rose Anderson Great introduction to pressure canning for those of us who are looking to homestead a bit more. Detailed instructions, safe canning procedures, and beginner pressure canning recipes like orange marmalade and baked beans.
