He was educated at St Michael’s College and University College Dublin. He taught English literature at the University of Manitoba in Canada for six years before returning to Ireland in 1971. Moriarty’s writings reflected upon the nature of faith, spirituality and mysticism and mingled modern philosophy with ancient concepts. He died in Kerry on the 1st of June, 2007.
