She specializes in interpersonal, chronic and complex childhood trauma in dysfunctional families and in the risk factors of sexual abuse in the families. She is a Psychotherapist of the European Psychotherapy Association, Trauma Specialist, Supervisor in diagnosis and therapy for people after trauma, and Consultatnt in Child Clinical Psychology. She was a member of the National Agency Against Family Violence (2007-2009). She has authored books entitled Dialog About Dying: Hermeneutical Approaches (2000) and Mechanism of Abuse in the Family: From Generation to Generation (2010), and has published numerous articles on related topics. Alicja Kuczynska, PhD, is a Clinical and Social Psychologist. She is a Professor and Head of the Department of Clinical and Health Psychology at the Institute of Psychology, Wroclaw University, Poland. She is Editor of the Polish Journal of Applied Psychology. Her main field of interest is concerned with human bonding in social and personal relationships, from the point of view of evolution and social theories (e.g. sex and gender as well as other non-verbal aspects).
