OverviewThis title was first published in 2000. An examination of the most important international military aerospace collaboration programs of the past decade. Each chapter analyzes a particular collaborative project as well as developments within the relevant national aerospace industries. Several issues are addressed in each of the case studies: 1. The major reasons for cooperation and the major players in the decision making process; 2. The major political, economic and bureaucratic challenges facing military aerospace collaboration and how they have been resolved; 3. The bargains struck between national governments and how, and to what extent, domestic bureaucratic politics between aerospace industries, labour unions, the military and government organizations influence the final agreement; 4. The lessons learned from these case studies applied to future collaborative projects. Conclusions are drawn from a comparative analysis of the case studies and predicts future trends for international military aerospace cooperation.
