Reviews

'There are some books that experienced IHL scholars and practitioners keep within arm's reach - International Humanitarian Law by Nicholas Tsagourias and Alasdair Morrison sits at the top of that list. Its comprehensive, up-to-date collection of IHL-related material, with commentary, is an indispensable resource for anyone doing IHL research, from students and faculty to government andnon‑governmental legal advisers.' Michael Schmitt, G. Norman Lieber Distinguished Scholar, West Point Praise for the first volume: 'Tsagourias and Morrison have put together a casebook on international humanitarian law containing a rich variety of sources, which will be of value to both students and instructors in the field. This casebook is the only one available for use in specialised courses in the fields of international humanitarian law and related disciplines. It can be used on its own or alongside a traditional textbook for courses at undergraduate and graduate level at both universities and military academies and staff colleges. I recommend it highly.' Terry Gill, Professor of Military Law, University of Amsterdam and Netherlands Defence Academy
