Jenny Ellery nacio en Nueva Jersey. Cuando era pequena, los medicos le diagnosticaron problemas de corazon, por lo que sus padres la llevaban a menudo a hospitales y consultas medicas para que le hicieran revisiones y examenes. Su infancia fue bastante solitaria porque no podia disfrutar corriendo y jugando como los demas ninos, ya que se cansaba rapidamente y sentia palpitaciones. Durante su adolescencia, tuvo la suerte de estar en un colegio en el que a los profesores les gustaba organizar sesiones de Tai-Chi, que consideraban un buen deporte para la mente y el cuerpo, por lo que Jenny se dio cuenta de que habia mas diversion que correr y que habia diferentes formas de amar el deporte y la vida. Por lo tanto, Jenny tomo conciencia de sus limitaciones y se dio cuenta de que ella, no es sus limitaciones y que lo unico que tenia que hacer era abrir su mente y ser mas imaginativa y curiosa para probar cosas diferentes. Ahora Jenny esta casada, tiene dos ninas y trabaja como asistente en la consulta de un dietista. Esta muy familiarizada con los problemas de las enfermedades cardiacas y la depresion, que pueden producirse a largo plazo en personas que se sienten fragiles y, en consecuencia, cada vez mas debiles, por lo que durante anos ha utilizado su tiempo libre para dar consejos y apoyo moral a la Asociacion Americana del Corazon. Jenny se mantiene en forma haciendo yoga, estiramientos y dando largos paseos por la playa mientras escucha musica. Aunque no lo dice para no preocupar a su marido, a menudo sufre de falta de apetito, por lo que incluso cuando prepara comida para ella y su familia, prefiere alimentos ligeros y saludables que no le pesen. Sabe muy bien que una alimentacion sana puede salvarnos la vida.
