Table of ContentsReviewsAuthor InformationLaura Guluzzy, M.A. Gerontologist, is a co-founder of Silver Lining Supportive Services, a helpline for seniors, and has a passion for helping them to live their best quality of life throughout the aging process. It began with her own experience of becoming a caregiver for her grandmother who had dementia. Laura obtained her Bachelors of Science degree in Human Services, with Counseling and Administration concentrations, and a minor in Psychology from Notre Dame De Namur University. She has been an active community volunteer and has served in many organizations. Laura's interest in how different generations of people communicate with one another led her to develop intergenerational communication training programs for high school and undergraduate levels, and complete a Masters in Gerontology from San Francisco State University. She consults and lectures on Caregiving, Falls Management & Prevention, Intergenerational Communication & Technology, Aging & Diversity, and Aging-Friendly Cities (development and planning following World Health Organization guidelines). Laura Guluzzy is a second generation native Californian who now resides in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii, and is married to Don Guluzzy for over 30 years. They have raised (or rescued) four dogs.
