Cassidy had her life planned out, until five years ago when she was brutally attacked trying to walk back to her dorm room from an April Fool's day celebration at the local bar with her classmates. When she survives the attack, she runs away. She has been running and lying to herself since that day. Now she finds herself home again after five years. Due to her Aunt's Illness, she is the surprised owner of the house and farm she grew up in. A house that is now a crime scene because someone just murdered her friend Amy. Police say the bullet was meant for her. As she is driving her dog Casper, who was also shot in the incident, to the local vet she is preparing to meet her ex-boyfriend. The veterinarian she was supposed to marry and go into business with. The one she ran away from five years ago with a trail of lies and abandonment. Little does she know the lies that wait for her as she tries to determine who is trying to kill her and why.
