Overview

At the age of 33, Robin Ashurst has achieved very little. He works long hours at The Limes, a run-down clifftop hotel in Devon. The hotel owner is the enigmatic Hansen Mulhenny, an authoritative figure with a South African accent. This is his story, his version of events. How a chance encounter with strange guests drags him unwittingly into a world of deception, intrigue and international crime.A cantankerous old lady, with French accent checks into The Limes with her young and naïve granddaughter, Antonella. Madame Aguirre claims to have evidence that proves a claim to the French royal family and has carried a secret mission all her life to convince the world of this truth. Over the years, this quest has brought her to the attention of a terrorist group called Action Francaise, the French intelligence service and an international crime gang who believe she has knowledge of the missing pieces of the French crown jewels, stolen after the French revolution. However, before she has the opportunity to divulge the mission to her granddaughter, she has a heart attack and dies.British intelligence meanwhile, in the form of MI6 (international crimes) had previously set up an undercover clandestine meeting with Madame Aguirre at The Limes in an attempt to flush out evidence she claimed to have. It goes wrong with her sudden death and all interested groups come together at the hotel in an evening of violence and danger. Robin and his girlfriend, Amy try to help Antonella escape from the villainous groups that come after her, now that she is the target, to be hunted down and silenced. They face charges of espionage, corruption, lies and exposing government secrets. The darker things get, the closer they all are to danger.
